Abdullah is the fourth episode of Season 4 of I Dream of Jeannie, and the 91st overall episode of the series. Written by Marty Roth and directed by Claudio Guzmán, it first aired 14 October 1968 on NBC.

Summary[]

Jeannie and Tony babysit her nephew for a week, so her brother can take a belated honeymoon. After Jeannie leaves for the day, Tony and Roger discover that the baby is also a genie.  Roger tells Dr. Bellows that Tony is too ill to come to work. Bellows visits Tony's house to check on him, then insists Tony go to the hospital for tests, leaving Roger with baby Abdullah.  After failing to stop the baby crying and ringing Tony for advice, a desperate Roger brings the baby to the hospital.  Tony and Roger try to escape the hospital but end up in the maternity ward.  Jeannie returns to tell Tony that Abdullah causes Persian Flu but vanishes when Dr. Bellows enters.  He's amazed that Roger and Tony have the first cases of Persian flu in two thousand years.  Jeannie has miniaturized herself and starts giggling until she starts sneezing too.

Goofs[]

  • Tony is taken to a general hospital, but NASA has its own hospital, and military people of Tony's rank wouldn't be treated in a public hospital.
