Summary[]
Tony makes the mistake of praising Mrs. Bellows' cooking and housekeeping in front of Jeannie. Jeannie calls upon Haji, king of all the genies, to take away her magical powers forever so she can live life as a mortal woman. He grants her request for one week but no longer. Jeannie burns her master's dinner and shirt, surprising him with the shock of losing her powers. With Tony forced to wear a shrunken uniform to work, Amanda Bellows drops by his house to meet his 'housekeeper,' stunned to learn that Jeannie insists on being the best housewife she can be, and that she calls Major Nelson her master. A long talk has Amanda believing that Tony's wife has been living the life of a slave, and offering her protection in the Bellows home until the divorce can be arranged.
