My Incredible Shrinking Master is the twenty-fourth episode of Season 2 of I Dream of Jeannie, and the 54th overall episode of the series. Directed by Claudio Guzmán and written by series creator Sidney Sheldon, it first aired 6 March 1967 on NBC.
Summary[]
Jeannie fears for her master's life after a bad dream finds him threatened by some sort of wild animal. An experiment in reducing the size of missile parts concludes with a misplaced blink from Jeannie, resulting in a miniature Tony, who is transported to his living room desk by helpful Roger. The untimely arrival of Dr. Bellows also sees an orange tabby sneaking in, so Tony is genuinely threatened.
Trivia[]
- The cat actor in this episode is Tye, one of Frank Inn's animal actors descended from the cats who worked on the film Rhubarb.
- The cat's meows seem like roars to Tony. Huge sets create the illusion, including a massive phone and working record player. Tony finds himself in Jeannie's bottle at one point.
