My Master, the Rainmaker is the fourth episode of Season 2 of I Dream of Jeannie, and the thirty-fourth overall episode of the series. Directed by Claudio Guzman and written by series creator Sidney Sheldon, it first aired 3 October 1966 on NBC.
Summary[]
Jeannie makes the rain vanish because she wants to picnic on the beach with her master. When Tony reflects on his childhood in Wisconsin Jeannie blinks snowfall upon his house, in July. Dr. Bellows tells General Peterson "He snowed on me!" The general refuses to believe that Tony can change the weather. Tony manages to convince Jeannie to visit her family, before Sgt. Ben Roberts visits Major Nelson to inquire what he could do about his brother's Alabama drought, which will cost him his farm. Jeannie blinks once before leaving, and soon Tony is crowded by goods from Alabama, where rainfall has saved the farm. However, the Alabama rain never stops and when Jeannie returns, she exclaims, "I left the water running!" Now Dr. Bellows has a witness to try to pin Tony down, to an exasperated General Peterson.
