One of Our Hotels Is Growing is the sixteenth episode of Season 5 of I Dream of Jeannie, and the 129th overall episode of the series. The episode, which was written by Robert Rodgers and directed by Jerry Bernstein, first aired on NBC-TV on 13 January 1970.
Summary[]
Tony and Jeannie go on a honeymoon, accompanied by the Bellowses and Roger, who want an ordinary holiday. As there are no rooms available, Jeannie creates a 13th floor. However Tony quickly tells her it's bad luck. The hotel porter chases a suicidal man to where the roof should be but emerges in the 13th floor. He starts walking along a wall when Jeannie blinks lift doors into place but blinks the doors away before he can get in. She is forced to blink the floor in and out to stop the Bellowses and the hotel staff discovering the truth. Jeannie, Tony, and Roger pretend to be hotel staff to keep the Bellows on the same floor until the Bellows decide to leave. Tony, as an elevator boy, gives a made up explanation of the strange happenings and all of them finally leave.
Trivia[]
- Tony states that hotels don't have a 13th floor. In fact some hotels do have more than thirteen floors so it would be more accurate to say that they don't have a floor numbered 13.
Goofs[]
- When Dr. Bellows is asking for the room reservations, Jeannie is staring to her left but when the shot changes, she's facing the desk.
- When the Bellows' room is vibrating as if a jet was passing overhead, everyone but Dr. Bellows vibrates in keeping with the room.
- After Jeannie blinks the floor back into place, Tony, Roger, Jeannie and the drunk are standing by the door but when the shot changes he's walking down the corridor.
